Indian Independence Day Celebration and Picnic

TCA Executive Committee on behalf of TCA would like to thank the Austin Telugu community for making Indian Independence Day celebrations and TCA Social Gathering (Picnic) a GRAND SUCCESS. Your overwhelming support is making TCA stronger and better in bringing our traditional values to our Austin Telugu community.

In our culture, God Varuna was one of the oldest gods in Hindu mythology, Varuna was originally a creator and the ruler of the sky. TCA picnic and Indian Independence day celebrations started with the blessings of God Varuna the god of the sky followed by Indian independence day celebrations and picnic. This is the first time we celebrated Indian Independence day celebrations within our Telugu Community here in Austin. Thanks to God Varuna for making Austin weather convenient for this celebration.
Indian Independence day celebrations started with the national anthem followed by cake cutting by kids, telugu senior citizens and TCA executive community. Telugu Cultural Association executive committee with the help of volunteers conducted different sports like Cricket, volleyball, football and other water games. Every one enjoyed with tennikoit, water sports, Frisbee, bingo and Apple to Apple games. Kids enjoyed with water splash, water guns, water balloons and blow bubbles.

Everyone enjoyed the great traditional home made food. It was indeed a great celebration, very well organized with seamless execution.

We wish to thank all Volunteers, Telugu Cultural Association members, supporters and well-wishers for your continued support and making this event a GRAND SUCCESS.
